Brand new Greenday and 30 Seconds to Mars skins are up. I also did one upon request for vampirefreaks.com. As much as I’d love to keep working out features for the v1.0 launch, everyone just keeps asking for new skins!

Several new email services have been added to the preferences page.

We plan on adding a way for you to change the links on the bottom of the pages as well. The default will be four links related to the band/movie/game/whatever-skin-you-selected, and you’ll be able to change them to link to anywhere you want: your livejournal, your myspace, your school’s website, etc. We think it’ll make the pages even more useful.

We want to make sure you can get to the preferences page from each individual start page. Right now, we’re thinking about putting a single line of text at the bottom of of the page, or maybe a little icon within the search box.

UPDATE: The new bottom links system is up and running…sort of. While we’re still working on the preferences form, everything else should work ok. If you find any bugs, please email Eric

We got a mention over at TheFaint.net as well as FearFactoryFans.com. Thanks guys! We also have two of our favorite bands listing a start page as their .net domain: Lunarclick.net and FluffyStarr.net. We’re getting a much larger reaction than we had ever hoped for – 3,982 UNIQUE hits in under three days! That’s 321,395 total … Continue reading “Beta 0.92”

We’re getting a much larger reaction than we had ever hoped for – 3,982 UNIQUE hits in under three days! That’s 321,395 total hits. Glad you guys are enjoying the pages. Bandwidth is quickly becoming an issue, so we’ve moved all the thumbnails off the main page and into the gallery. Now the main page displays the newest and most popular designs. We might start looking at alternative storage soon.

We’re also trying to keep things organized. Although you can get to all of the pages from the main page now, you’ll notice the “back to page” link in the lower right hand corner of this bar over here won’t always make sense according to the page you were just at. Don’t worry, we’re fixing it. We’ve also worked out a list of what’s coming soon. That list is going to stay at the bottom of this page.

Incase you don’t use one of the email services we list on the preference page, you can now select “Other…” and input the URL you go to for checking your mail. We made the URL field invisible until “Other…” is selected from the menu.

Two new skins have been added: one for the Gorillaz and also one for Alkaline Trio. The Greenday one is currently being worked on, and Radiohead will probably follow that one shortly. Hopefully we’ll get a few more up tomorrow.
